Audio device is not recognized in notebook? - notebook audio card
XP and now I've reinstalled the sound is produced by the computer when the system was asked to make a noise. I do not know if the drivers are properly installed. It is indeed a sound card in this laptop (Dell Inspiron 1705), but the icon volume control on the right side custom, to seem to even start.

Ok. First, the upgrade from Windows XP does not provide useful inf. You need to upgrade INF. You need to know your motherboard brand (ie, Intel GMA 945), perhaps the Intel motherboard. If Intel, then go to "... Section http://downloadcenter.intel.com/default find appropriate driver for the motherboard, the download utility INF file and start the update. If you do, Windows will detect the device and install the audio driver package INF directory. If that fails, then you should download the section www.dell.com and find the audio driver download for Inspiron 1705, and install it.
Refer to the manufacturer's website for your laptop to be able to get the drivers for the sound card HTE. If not, should be Abel to get the sound card brand, then go to the website of the manufacturer for an updated driver.
